Lovely India is a good restaurant. Pleasant surroundings, friendly service and good food. We had the lamb nawabi which was nice, but the butter chicken was the star of the show - definitely the best butter chicken I've ever had. Our only criticism was that it was quite steamy and "fragrant" in the dining area. We enjoyed the food, but we might order take-out next time!

We thought this place was really good. Nice casual atmosphere. We shared the platter of entrees which were fairly good. They came out of the kitchen still sizzling from the oven. It took quite a while for our mains to arrive but that was fine with us because it allowed time for us to digest the entrees before the mains came out. I had chicken madras and it was excellent. One of the best curries I've had anywhere. The chicken had a nice "flame grilled" feeling to it. Good service too.

This is the best Indian Cuisine in Rotorua and I have tried them all. The atmosphere is nice and the staff are warm and friendly. They always remember your face and your order if you don't like to change!!
