Didn't actually make it as far as booking a table here.
My wife was given a Tutto Bene gift voucher as a birthday present while she was pregnant. We decided to save it for when she could have a glass of wine with her meal and not worry about what she shouldn't be eating.
The next time we thought about using the voucher was about a year and a half later, by which time it was past the "expiry date". My wife rang them to ask if they would still accept the voucher, and was spoken to very rudely (the guy pretty much hung up on her). I rang back and got slightly more polite treatment (he denied that he had been rude before), but despite me explaining that we had been rather busy with a new baby and that we would still like to use our voucher, he refused to budge. He didn't see any problem with the fact that they had taken $200 from someone and not provided anything in return. He took my details and said he would talk to the owner / manager, but I have heard nothing from them.
Review Feedback by: fusspot [DineSmart VIP] (12) on 19th Jul 2010 That is very pore PR on their behalf. I have had gift cards extended past their use by date by other restaurants and I always try and repay their goodwill by dining there on other occasions.
A lively place. We had a booking for 6 of us at 8pm. I ordered Spaghetti Marinara & sorbet/gelato which were really yummy. The main dish was a lovely thick tomato sauce, heaps of seafood and very fresh. The dessert was surprisingly filling, refreshing & tasty. Everyone loved their meals-the other stand out dish was the calamari salad which I might order next time. It was busy but we found the service friendly & efficient.
Went with a large group and to manage what everyone was having/paying for they had a sheet with everyones names which I thought was a great idea.
Staff were friendly and service was prompt.
Had the soup for a starter. It was delicious! To be honest that would have sufficied, however....
The main I had was the cabonara. The serving size (medium) was more than generous. I was however dissapointed at the flavour and taste. It was so very bland, the bacon seemed like sausage and the pamersen someone pointed out seemed like big factory plastic stuff.
The wine was lovely and was a nice generous serving and the atmosphere really was nice. It was a chilly night though and I felt the heating was not exactly adequate.
Went to TB for the first time on a Tuesday night. The place was 80% full at least. The service was so fast that when our starters came out I thought they must have been for a different table! Nice and friendly staff, super quick service continued throughout the evening, unfortunately not all the food was up to the same standard. I had the Roberto Spaghetti (chicken balls - man the chickens they get those balls off must be huge! and Italian sausage) with a 'homemade' basil and pesto sauce. It was dry and bland, a real disappointment. Others at the table seemed to enjoy their meals but the scallops in the seafood spaghetti were horrible - rubbery and left a bitter aftertaste. The warm olive salad was a treat as was the pizza bread - hard to stuff that up though. The wait staff didn't ask me if I enjoyed my meal when they cleared the plates, just asked if I'd like a Doggy Bag. Considering I'd eaten less then half of the meal and responded "definitely not" I expected more probing by the wait staff, but no. This affected my rating for service which, apart from this, would have been a 9 or 10. I have friends who go here a lot and speak highly of it, maybe I just got the night when the chef was on a night off. Not sure if I'll be back.
I went with a couple of friends and we sat outside. Great environment. The pizza was certainly delicious and so was the creamy risotto. Although I am not that big on Italian food but I thoroughly enjoyed the meal here. The portion sizes are generous too. I ll recommend this one.
