Choose from the wide range of gourmet dishes from the select menu and great drinks from the bar for a great night out!
Dine in a peaceful environment with a conservatory, pleasant music and great service.
It is pleasing to see that the owners are able to maintain a well run business with good value, well presented and tasty meals. The restuarant offers a relaxed atmosphere with the choice of inside or outside dining (lovely heaters on the deck). Whilst the wine list is not large it provides enough choice of some very nice and well priced reds & whites (available by the bottle or glass). Whilst i have never made it to the desserts my boys love the profiteroles’. In summary Avenue 28 is consistent, good value and serves a nice meal. We'll be back!!
A wonderfull enviroment, to take on a breakfast ,lunch or dinner :)
It's been a pleasure to dine there on many occasions!! ,
The friendly staff and wonderfull food have ensured my return.
All friends or family lucky enough to experiance Avenue 28 have been equally impressed.
Enough said... check it out for yourself.
Revisited Avenue 28 after an enjoyable meal there some months ago our return visit was rewarded with great food and attentive service - will definitely be back.
My husband and I dined here for the first time on Friday night, we were very impressed by the service. Our waitress constantly checked on us, and made sure we always had what we wanted. Food was excellent, we both had pizza's which were great, nice homemade base which was a nice change from what you get from other pizza places. I had the lamb, potato, kumara, pumpkin and mint pizza, it was like a roast dinner on a pizza! Husband had the Carne, which was chorizo sausage and pepperoni, he really enjoyed it. Dessert was Apple pie and profiterole's We were very impressed. Profiteroles are like a mountain of chocolate, ice cream and pastry, totally recommend!! Baked apple pie was ok, arrives fresh out of the oven, so very hot. Great place, we will visit again! :)
We are regular visitors at this 'best kept secret of the city' and tend to go there rather that risk having bad food or service elsewhere - as we always have excellent food and service at Craig's restaurant. We are what you would call 'hard to please' because of being in the industry ourselves - but we have constant fantastic dining experiences here.
