The scrambled eggs are the best in the country here. I get the big breakfast. Homemade Hashbrowns, Scrambled eggs on sour dough, bacon, local sausages, garlic mushrooms, their own relish. If you can fit it get the basil tomatoes as an extra. The French Toast and the Hotcakes are also great. The menu changes slightly to include cauliflower fritters or homemade baked beans. Nice place. Nice staff. Small kids corner in this very small cafe - cute little place. I go for breakfast every Saturday if I can (30 mins from my home).

Each time I have lunched here I have enjoyed it very much. The food is tasty, varied and well priced. The environment is like a home away from home and the service is always attentive. It's my favourite place for lunch.

This is truely one of the hidden gems of Wellington. Fantastic, well-priced cafe food served by people who seem to really appreciate your custom (even though the place was humming). This spot isn't one for the masses (only about about 6 tables in total) and has a decor that reflects its size - the place has a really inviting 'kiwi kitchen' feel.
My advice would be to go there enjoy and be merry, just don't tell too many others about it!

What can I say, they have the most mouthwatering caramel slice that ever walked this earth. It is so deliciously delicious, As is the ginger slice (yum..), of course the fish pie (just perfect...) and so are the enchiladas (scrumptious...) So YUMMY. The bread is really good quality and the ham is great too. Makes good saturday-after-sport sandwiches. Good coffee, good service and awesome food.
