Love going to Lush. Had another great experience today. The staff are always friendly and helpful. My tuna salad was really yummy. The cafe was really busy so there was a small wait on food, however we were happy to "people watch" while we waited. We also tried some of their gelato, Yum!!
I have been a regular visitor to Lush ever since it opened. Last time I visited was last Friday lunchtime with some friends. We were lucky to get a booth seat during the busy 12-1pm lunch hour. I ordered a Butter Chicken Filo and a side of fries. The food arrived in a little over 10 minutes and smelt great. Oh, and it tasted great too! On my rush back to the office I spotted the Gelato. The bubbly girl on the cashier was quick to tell me it was made there and even offered me a sample. As I was in a hurry, I grabbed a takeaway container of Caramel. I will defiantly need to go back for more.
We dont go out very often for lunch, so we were pleasently surprised when we came across Lush in Centre City. Great food, great service, fantastic coffee and yummy gelato.
We will be back for sure!
well i did say i was going to give this cafe another go and i did, unfortunately it was once again disastorous with a capital D. After waiting 40 minutes for a toasted sandwhich which came out soggy and tasteless i decided to make a complaint as this was the second time my food was not edible. The manager was quite abrupt and obviously didnt want to have to deal with the issue. after 5 or so minutes of trying to get through to her what my poblem was she finally apologises and gave me a voucher for the cost of my meal which i thought was fair enough considering she thought it was protocol to argue with me in the first place, not what a manager is supose to do to a customer. all in all this cafe is just a joke. none of the staff care about the customers and making sure they are satisfied with what they are getting weither it be food, beverages or even service. They seem to be to self absorbed in there selves and fixing there hair in the many mirrors around the cafe.
Review Feedback by: unspecified (2) on 17th Aug 2009 Tartel, you obviously have a bone to pick with the Macfarlanes group. I have tried these "tasteless" toasted sandwich's and they're anything but tasteless. I enjoyed the relaxed Italian decor and loverly food. I've been back many times now, and call myself a return customer. Also, the only person that was "fixing their hair" in the mirror was me. This is not really the place for you to be sharing your personal opinion on the Macfarlanes Group, this is where you review the cafe, being Lush Cafe.
This experience was a waste of 45minutes of my time - this place is an absolute let down and should be closed immediately until such time as staff training can be done.
To serve a crunchy chicken sandwich consisting of nothing but dry mesculin, crispy dry chicken, bread and mayo on a small white plate looking worse than my dogs breakfast is completely unacceptable - and why did it take 35 minutes to put this crap together on a plate? I am completely bemused. What makes me even more sick in the guts is that had I given the chef (they dress in mufty, I dont even think they know what the word means here) a look at the plate - they probably would have thought I was being picky; another arrogant customer without actually taking into account the sushi bar less than 50 metres away does a smoked chicken sandwich for 8 bucks, I can tell you they give you a little more than just dry letteuce, dry chicken and some bread and mayo to boot; perhaps; going out on a limb, they are passionate about the products they produce? Obviously completely unlike staff working at Lush.
Coffee okay, took 15 minutes though. All in all? Most often times I will return and give a place a second chance - not this time. Completely flabaghasted - terrible cafe, will never return.

"(they dress in mufty, I dont even think they know what the word means here)"
As I recall, the staff dress in black with black aprons, am I not correct?
