All our burgers use fresh local meat with no additives, fresh local veggies and contain our own home-made sauces
We have gluten free burgers and veggie burgers too.

Try the IWI burger or the DELIVERANCE burger

My wife and I plus our 16-year-old daughter ventured out to try Burgers And Beer after hearing many good things about them. Living in Palmerston North for many years I was a huge fan of Congo Burgers. Moving down south I missed them but have since learned they have closed up shop. I tried Wisconsin Burgers but they didn't have enough filling in them. Off to Burgers And Beer and the first thing that struck me was the really neat atmosphere of the place, wood every where. We each had a burger and we ordered a plate of their legendary home made chips with gravy. Unfortunately we didn't finish all the chips, why? I struggled to finish it as there was so much filling inside the bun. My wife and daughter could only manage half the burger so they took them home and demolished them for lunch the next day. The taste buds had quite an exciting time with the many different flavours coming through. On our next visit we plan to starve ourselves all day so we can make it through to desert. If you wander into the shop or check them out on the net don't balk at the prices. They are higher than a normal burger shop but the filling, you may never need to to eat for days after. The burgers come in paper bags which I suppose helps to keep the prices down, not having to pay staff to wash dishes. Two things I didn't like. The first being that they staple the serviette to the bag causing it to rip when you try detaching it from the bag. The second is that the spirit range could be increased as they didn't have anything I liked, but I settled for a beer instead. All in all a very impressive place to dine out and this will become a place on my "to constantly revisit" list.

It's always hard finding places to eat that you can take older teenagers to. A place where everyone can enjoy the food, good news, Burgers and Beers is such a place. We ventured out as a family one Thursday evening and found B&B half full with about 12 or so other diners. We soon placed our order and were given a number. The food arrived in paper bags which we eagerly tore open to reveal our huge burgers. It isn't often the older son says he's full, but he did after polishing off his IWI burger. I enjoyed the Woolly Sahara Sand Hopper (Sheep) burger and along with their fat chips and the dipping gravy the food was hard to fault. You can enjoy a very filling meal for $20.00 a head which includes a drink, excellent value. Mrs Diner also enjoyed her burger and commented as we strolled down High Street that it was a lovely birthday treat. Mainly I think it was because there was no arguing, who could argue when your mouths are full of tasty burger!

Had a Chicken Burger and a Sheep burger yesterday from Burgers & Beers. It was well worth the amount I paid plus as a DineSmart fan I got Chips and gravy free with it. The Sheep burger according to my wife was one of the best she ever had in New Zealand. My chicken burger was good too but some chunks of the meat tasted like they were burnt(not overly). I would certainly be going back again as the service provided combined with the food was great.

From the moment you walk in this is a place with x-factor. Busy, bustling, fun and funky. Msrs Haas & Brown and team deliver classic kiwi cuisine with real attitude.
I have visited 5 times already and one of my work collegues from Auckland has been 4 (only once with me). Not good for the waistline, but big, fast, tasty and GR8 value for money. If Ferg's is an institution in Queenstown then this joint is set to become one here.
Be warned BIG means Lonestar portions. FAST means d'fafo fast. Tasty means Pescatore quality (with a touch of Gran's comfort). drinks are pretty limited but less so than the fergmeister.
Outstanding, see you (again) soon. Luke & Anne-Marie you rock!
